128 Case Stockman Pocket Knife

The Case Stockman 128 Pocket Knife is a classic. Case & Sons has been crafting pocket knives for over a century right here on US soil. The company resides in Bradford New York and has been at that location for a long time pushing out great EDC pocket knives, fixed blade hunting knives, and a rather large array of collectible knives as well. All of Case’s knives including the Stockman 128 are made right here in the United States.

The Case Stockman 128 pocket knife is a great every day carry (EDC) knife weighing in at 2.9 ounces and is 3 7/8 inches long when fully closed. It comes with a beautifully crafted genuine jigged bone handle with a nice amber hue, which is one of the elements that makes this knife a classic. This knife is just the right size to fit in your pocket every day and yet it will still get the job done.

This pocket knife comes with 3 different blades – a clip, asheepsfoot, and a spey blade. All 3 blades are made form Tru-Sharp surgical steel and are crafted with precision. The blades are honed to a very sharp edge so when you open up  your new Case Stockman 128 Pocket knife, you won’t be disappointed. It will slice through paper with ease right out of the box. Not only are the blades attractive because of the steel used, but they are very functional as well. Most people report that the blades stay sharp for quite a long time and through a lot of use, and when it does come time to sharpen them, they sharpen very easily. The only complaint that I’ve seen is that the blades in the newer model are not as thick as they once were, but for most this is not an issue.

Not only are the blades sharp looking, but the handle is a piece of art unto itself. The handle is made from genuine peach jigged Amber colored bone, and has a timeless classic look that so many pocket knife collectors love. These handles have been a tradition of Case for a long time and you will find similar handles on other knife models as well. The handle will definitely draw some comments about when showing it off to your friends.

The Pros

What can I say about the Stockman 128, well this of course!

  • Multiple blades for diferent tasks
  • All 3 blades come ultra sharp right out of the box
  • Very versitile
  • Beautiful amber bone handle with a timeless classic look and feel
  • Nice enough when you want something classy in your pocket, yet functional enough to be your goto EDC

The Cons

As with many of the knives we review here at My Best Pocket Knife, there really isn’t too much to say negatively about the Stockman 128. Here’s the few cons though that various owners have said about the knife.

  •  The blade is not as thick as in older versions of this model.
  • Some say the quality of the newer models is not as good as the older models

So what’s the verdict on the Case Stockman 128 Pocket Knife?

The Case Stockman 128 pocket knife is a great every day carry pocket knife that comes sharp as can be right out of the box. This classic that has been around for many many years is a beautiful piece of craftsmanship that looks functions as good as it looks. If you want a beautiful and functional pocket knife, this would make a great choice. I highly recommend it.
